Marko delivers damning Ferrari verdict

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has claimed that Ferrari has 'got everything wrong' this season after another blunder at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen leads the drivers' standings by 80 points from Charles Leclerc with Red Bull ahead of Ferrari by 97 in the constructors' battle.

Despite Ferrari appearing to have better pace in its car on most weekends, the Scuderia has won just four races compared to Red Bull's nine and sit just 30 points clear of Mercedes and with the same number of podium appearances.

In Hungary, Ferrari started with Carlos Sainz second and Leclerc third but the pair finished fourth and sixth as the team failed to feature on the podium for the second consecutive weekend.

Conversely, Red Bull propelled Max Verstappen from 10th on the grid to his eighth victory of the season.

Asked by OE24 how Ferrari has managed to fall so far behind, Marko said: "By doing pretty much everything wrong.

"In Budapest, for example, for the first time they didn't give the tyres the right temperature window, and also chose the wrong pit strategy.

"I don't understand why they didn't take used mediums, they would have been better."
