Verstappen targets "unfinished business" in Azerbaijan
Max Verstappen has conceded to having "unfinished business" in Azerbaijan after his dramatic exit from last year's race.
The Red Bull driver crashed at over 200mph while leading comfortably in Baku last term after his left-rear tyre failed and pitched him violently into the concrete wall on the pit straight.
Verstappen's accident marked his third failure to finish in four visits to Azerbaijan - the Dutchman only reaching the chequered flag in 2019 when he finished fourth.
"I’m looking forward to returning to Baku, we have some unfinished business there after last year," said Verstappen.
"It’s a tricky track with big braking zones and a tight run-off, finding the best set-up for the car will be difficult in terms of making sure we get the correct wing level.
"It will also be interesting to see if we can make our one-lap performance better for qualifying as we’ve been lacking a little."
Verstappen welcomes Perez continuity
Verstappen's crash and Lewis Hamilton's 'brake magic' incident on the restart promoted Sergio Perez to the lead of last year's race with the Mexican holding on to take his first win for Red Bull.
Perez secured his second success last time out in Monaco with a two-year contract extension confirmed in the days that followed.
Reflecting on his team-mate's new deal, Verstappen added: "It’s great that Checo has signed a contract extension with the team.
"It’s nice to have the continuity and I get on really well with him."
