Leclerc warns of "more to come" from Ferrari
Charles Leclerc has warned Red Bull and Max Verstappen that Ferrari has "more to come" from the F1-75.
Leclerc leads the drivers' standings after the opening two races of the current season with a win and a second-place to his name.
The Monégasque sits 12 points clear of Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz and enjoys a 20-point margin over Verstappen with the reigning world champion behind as a result of his Bahrain retirement.
"I am happy with this start to the season for sure," explained Leclerc.
"I am working well with the team and the preparation for the first race was very good. I feel good in general but there is definitely more to come.
"The thing I am happy about is not really the performance but I know exactly where I still need to work and what I need to improve to unlock more performance. So yes, on that I am happy."
Ferrari has not powered a driver to world championship glory since 2007 when Kimi Raikkonen secured the title by a single point from then McLaren team-mates Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.
Asked if the Scuderia's current level of performance is enough to achieve championship success, Leclerc said: "Whether it will be enough or not to win the world championship, I have no idea.
"It is still very early on in the season but let's say it has been a very good start to the season.
"As I have said many times, I think development will be key and we as drivers need to help the team in the best way possible to keep this competitiveness."
