Ferrari latest team to reveal 2022 car launch date

Aston Martin was the first to announce its intentions last week

Ferrari has become the second team to reveal the launch date for its all-new 2022 challenger.

F1 has introduced radically altered regulations for the upcoming season with cars undergoing the biggest overhaul in recent memory.

Team principal Mattia Binotto indicated the launch date would come in mid-February and after Aston Martin became the first team to announce its reveal date, Ferrari confirmed its as-yet-unnamed car will be unveiled on February 17.

Ferrari will be hoping to build from a more positive campaign last year, where Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc picked up five podiums and two pole positions en route to third in the constructors' standings.

F1 will find out how the new cars perform on track for the first time when pre-season testing begins on February 23.

The first race of the season takes place in Bahrain on March 20.
