F1 2021 launch liveries ranked
The lookers and those you should look away from on 2021 grid
5. Red Bull - 30pts

Into the top five and Red Bull has failed to change its livery for a third consecutive year. This is no problem for us though, as the design has become a modern classic that has not faded over time.
In years gone by, teams remained loyal to one livery for the duration of a contract with a certain sponsor. Although Red Bull owns its own team, F1 is, in essence, a marketing platform for the energy drinks manufacturer.
If you want to build brand recognition, stick to a set look, and what a look!
4. AlphaTauri - 40pts

We continue with Red Bull sister team AlphaTauri. Named after the fashion brand also owned by Dietrich Mateschitz, this livery had to deliver - after all, a fashion brand that does not deliver something that looks impressive is not doing a good job.
For a second year, however, AlphaTauri successfully navigated these pitfalls to create something quite superb.
One of the more simple designs on the grid, but a re-invention of its 2020 colours, this was a top-five hit with all members of the GPFans Global team.
3. Alpine - 48pts

The first of the two new names on the grid. After revealing a black 'winter' livery, it was only a matter of time before an 'Alpine blue' design surfaced and it did not disappoint.
We liked the yellow of Renault, but this look is an undeniable step up.
Worth a mention is the special metallic blue paint used on the majority of the car. Under the lights in night races, this will look special!
2. Alfa Romeo - 51pts

Alfa Romeo received top marks from one writer, and we can see why. In a similar way to AlphaTauri, the livery has been tweaked enough compared to last year's design to ensure there are no complaints from us.
The launch ceremony may have been over the top for a car likely to find itself in the lower end of the midfield, but if points were awarded for looks - as they have been here - this would be a championship favourite.
1. Aston Martin - 65pts

Two of the three GPFans Global writers positioned this as the best-looking car on the grid this year. Voted down only for the pink BWT stripe by the other, Aston Martin has nailed its livery upon its F1 comeback after a 61-year hiatus.
The return of what is almost British Racing Green to the grid must be appreciated, a colour which hints at a certain level of sophistication.
As Racing Point, the team had a hit or miss record with its pink liveries, but after rebranding to Aston Martin, it has certainly made an entrance.
It is just a shame that, as with the new looks of Williams and Ferrari, images were leaked ahead of time.
