Verstappen tells Russell to keep his nose out of Red Bull's business

Verstappen tells Russell to keep his nose out of Red Bull's business

Max Verstappen has warned George Russell to mind his own business following the Williams driver's comments on Red Bull team-mate Alex Albon.

Russell produced another stunning qualifying performance to line up 12th on the grid for the Hungarian Grand Prix, one place ahead of close friend Albon who has struggled for grip and balance in his RB16 throughout the weekend.

It led to Russell suggesting Albon was being made to look like an idiot, and calling on Red Bull to get to the bottom of its issues.

Such remarks, however, did not go down too well with Verstappen, who hit back at Russell by stating: "George doesn't know anything about the team.

"I think it's better he just focuses on his car and his performance instead of speaking for someone else.

"From my side, I think I always try to get the maximum out of it, I try to push as hard as I can.

"It doesn't mean if my car is not, let's say, capable of getting pole position that I give up. I still try, of course, to push it to the limit."
