Where Formula 1 should have been

Formula 1 fans around the world should have been enjoying the inaugural Vietnamese Grand Prix on Sunday, April 5.

Unfortunately, it is one of eight that has fallen by the wayside due to the coronavirus pandemic decimating the F1 calendar, along with countless other sports events around the world.

But, if you're like us here at GPFans and you're missing your fix of F1 at present, then at least take a ride around the Hanoi Street Circuit with a virtual on-board lap with Mercedes test and reserve driver Esteban Gutierrez.

Gutierrez explains there are a number of quite "tricky" corners, describing the Esses in the final section, in particular, as "one of the most technical on the calendar, very, very fast", and requiring "a very minimal margin of error".

Oh, what might have been. Let's hope we get to see this track for real, sooner rather than later.
