Munandar crashed on the opening lap of the Asia Talent Cup race one at Sepang.

The rider was treated at the side of the track, with the race immediately red flagged, but he was pronounced dead in Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

A MotoGP statement read: "Munandar was a standout rider in the 2019 IATC season, taking two wins, two second places and two third-place finishes in a season that had seen him poised to fight for the Championship this weekend."
