Grosjean reveals Plan B if Haas choose Hulkenberg
Romain Grosjean says he has options to continue racing outside of Formula 1 if he is unable to secure a race seat for 2020.
The Haas driver faces an uncertain future with the American team after a dismal 2019 so far, which has seen him score points in just two races.
Team principal Guenther Steiner has confirmed that Nico Hulkenberg is of interest after Renault signed Esteban Ocon to make the German a free agent for next year.
Although Grosjean wishes to remain in F1, reports have suggested he may have been offered a Formula E and the Frenchman is confident he will be racing in 2020 regardless.
He told reporters: "The next two weeks are going to be key for the future but we left on good terms and come back on good terms.
"There are options in Formula 1 and in other categories. Everyone was waiting to see what Mercedes was going to do and obviously that was confirmed this morning, and then Esteban.
"Now there's only a couple of teams that have seats available, here one so we're going to hear every rumour."
He added: "For now, I still want to do F1 as the main plan. There are other things that are appealing for the future, but I'm quite happy in F1."
Grosjean says he could have accepted being dropped after an error-strewn start to 2018, but he feels 2019 has been a different story, despite labelling it "terrible".
"This year, yes the season is not great, the results are not what they are, but I am happy with what I've been doing, I am happy with what I've achieved," he said.
"I've had a terrible year. Six DNFs and none of them are my fault. Reliability hasn't been on my side. The car performance hasn't been on my side either."
