F1 Penalty Points 2025: Stars under pressure ahead of British Grand Prix

The stewards had a busy end to the Austrian Grand Prix, handing out multiple penalty points across the grid just as two of Max Verstappen's were set to expire.

After a deluge of points were handed out at the Spanish GP earlier this year, Verstappen was left on the brink of a race ban with 11 points to his name. Luckily for Red Bull, the Dutchman didn't get the chance to earn any more after being ruled out of the race in Austria on lap one, and now, two of those 11 points have expired.

June 30, 2025, also marks the day that two-time champion Fernando Alonso will lose the last of his points, but after a chaotic race at the Red Bull Ring, two more drivers will be added to the table after the stewards slapped Franco Colapinto and Kimi Antonelli with their first penalty points.

Red Bull's driver lineup have become frequent visitors to the stewards of late, with Yuki Tsunoda also landing himself with extra points in Austria.

The Japanese racer was summoned to the stewards in Spielberg for causing a collision with Colapinto and was handed a 10-second time penalty and two penalty points as a result.
