Sebastian Vettel will face the Italian Grand Prix stewards, accused of leaving the track and gaining a lasting advantage.
The incident appears to be centred upon a lap time set in Q2 by the German.
With track limits being strictly enforced at the Parabolica, Vettel also appeared to put all four tyres over the line on the lap that he set his ultimate time in Q3, but it is unclear if this will be investigated.
That lap time was enough to secure fourth place on the grid and it remains unclear what sanction would befall Vettel if he is found to have broken the rules.
