Alonso denies he doesn't like Vettel
Fernando Alonso has denied the claims of Sebastian Vettel that the two-time world champion did not like him when the pair were in Formula 1.
In the press conference following the Hungarian Grand Prix, Vettel, along with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, was asked how he would feel if Alonso were to return to F1 after his year-long sabbatical.
The German responded in surprising fashion, stating he didn’t care if Alonso returned as he didn’t think they got on.
“I don’t mind. I don’t know why… I don’t think he never really liked me,” Vettel said after the race in Budapest.
“I don’t think we really had a… I don’t mind him.
“I respect him for what he achieved and for what he can do on the track. I don’t know. I guess he’s bored if he has time to write these things. So bring him back, I don’t mind.”

However, Alonso insists that this is not the case, and is troubled that Vettel would have this opinion.
“I feel bad that he thinks like that,” the former Ferrari driver said in a fan Q&A on Instagram.
“I heard that but it’s not true at all, I feel bad that he thinks like that.
“We always respected each other and had a very pleasant relationship. Perhaps it was because of the press, the situation, but I repeat that it’s the opposite.”
