Verstappen and Leclerc have stole the show in 2019 - F1 boss
The young guns are impressing.
Formula 1 chairman Chase Carey has praised the impact of the “younger generation” in the 2019 F1 season, singling out Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in particular.
While Lewis Hamilton has been winning most of the races, a lot of the more entertaining aspects of the campaign have come lower down the grid. Verstappen and Leclerc have been responsible for some of the moments of the season, such as their duel with the win in Austria which the former won with just one lap remaining, or their flurry of battles in the next race in Great Britain.
These moments have represented the ‘hard racing’ that many fans are crying out for, and Carey believes they have been the bets thing to watch in 2019.
"When we look at this season, I think it is mainly the younger generation that steals the show," The F1 and Liberty Media chief said.

"The fights between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc are of course wonderful examples, for which fans watch our sport.
"Thanks to our work, these young talents are coming, as we an F1 organisation also invest a lot in the Formula 2 class.
“You see that more and more different drivers with different backgrounds are entering Formula 1 and that is exactly what we are trying to do to stimulate."
After the opening 10 races of the 2019 season, Verstappen is third in the drivers’ championship, while Leclerc is down in fifth.
