WATCH: Brundle drops Guy Ritchie gaffe on grid walk
Oh, Martin Brundle, we love your co-commentary and your analysis, but the pre-race mingling with celebrities perhaps isn't for you.
The Sky Sports presenter, one of the finest pundits F1 has to offer, is in his element when talking to teams about technical issues and discussing the psychology of drivers. He's been doing it for years and he is the master of that domain.
Alas, what he does not excel at is knowing what to ask A-Listers as they mingle between the cars, something that has edged deeper into his duties as the years have went past.
Following a brief interview with David Beckham where he was asked about Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and anything else other than F1, he meandered down the grid and spotted British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, he of Snatch and Sherlock Holmes fame.
Or, more likely, someone in Martin's ear told him that Ritchie was approaching and he ended up chatting away to a random bearded man as Ritchie shuffled around in the background talking to Beckham.
It's alright Martin, we know what you do best.
