Ricciardo gunning for Hamilton & Vettel
Daniel Ricciardo has put Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel on notice that he intends to confirm his world championship bid at next weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. Ricciardo joined the championship-leading pair on two wins for 2018 with victory in Monaco last time out.
With 72 points to his name, Ricciardo trails Hamilton by 38 points in the drivers' standings and the Mercedes man has won the last three races at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
However, Red Bull were unbeatable in Monte Carlo and Montreal offers some similar characteristics with sharp corners likely to play into their hands.

Ricciardo capitalised on Mercedes' Hamilton and Nico Rosberg losing their MGU-K to win in Canada in 2014, but having found a way to hold off Vettel in Monaco with a similar issue, the Australian is in bullish mood.
"I think it's only just really sinking in that I won the Monaco Grand Prix and crossing the line after such a challenging race felt amazing," Ricciardo said.
"My name is on the board now and it feels good to win the most iconic F1 race there is.
"After winning in Monaco it's awesome to be going straight to another street circuit that I love. It's definitely one of my favourite races of the year, both because of the track and also the city of Montreal itself. The city is just awesome.
"I've had some mixed results in the race but I did win my first Grand Prix there in 2014 and had a podium last year.
"We've got some new updates coming, it's the hypersoft tyre again, the chassis is running sweet, so we could be looking alright.
"Hopefully we can have another strong weekend and start chasing down the championship leaders."
