F1 'generously donating' to UNICEF's emergency Ukraine appeal

F1 has revealed it has 'generously donated' to UNICEF's emergency appeal that has been launched to help children and families desperately in need in Ukraine following the Russian invasion.

As part of F1's support, the pre-race grid moment from the drivers will see them stand in front of a banner supporting the appeal and requesting donations.

The moment will raise awareness of the strife and hardship being faced by thousands of Ukrainian children caught up in Russia's unlawful attack on its neighbouring country.

A number of teams have already announced their support for UNICEF as well as other charities supporting people in Ukraine, while F1 itself has donated directly.

While no figures have been released at present, F1 has confirmed its pledge is "generous". With funds still coming in, it is expected a final total will be revealed in a few weeks' time.

For anyone who wishes to make their own personal donation via F1 then you can do so at uni.cf/f1
