It's a rare sight, but Formula One had its very own winter wonderland as snowfall led to a bizarre day of testing in Barcelona. With little chance to get on-track, drivers' tongues were wagging instead. It's Lights Out for Thursday morning!

Erm, try explaining that this year. An icy blast covering much of the continent gripped F1 with it as running was limited to Fernando Alonso putting in the solitary timed lap.

Ferrari said there was "no point" in running their car in the snow. Having topped the timesheets on a freezing Tuesday, they could rest easy.

Sebastian Vettel was cautiously optimistic that the team can move even closer to Mercedes in 2018.

Moving on to the driver market. One of the biggest names yet to be tied to a 2019 deal is Daniel Ricciardo.

He's been linked with Ferrari and Mercedes. Will Red Bull keep hold of him?

Valtteri Bottas is also looking to convince the Silver Arrows of his long-term prospects. The Finn has targeted the title, but insists he'll fight clean to get it.
