Alpine will become the sixth Formula 1 team to reveal its 2021 machinery when launching the A521 on Tuesday afternoon.

McLaren, AlphaTauri, Red Bull, Alfa Romeo and Mercedes have all lifted the lid on their new cars ahead of Alpine - Ferrari also having held a 'team launch' last week.

The entry is Alpine's first in F1 after the team, formerly known as Renault, completed a rebranding exercise across the winter.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?

Alpine is one of seven teams on the grid to have made a change to its driver line-up. After Daniel Ricciardo moved to McLaren, ending a two-year stint with the French manufacturer, the team announced Fernando Alonso would take his place.

This will be the Spaniard's third stint at the Enstone-based team with which he tasted world championship success in both 2005 and '06.

Esteban Ocon remains on the opposite side of the garage for a second year.

THE STORY OF 2020

As Renault, the team was embroiled in a fierce battle with McLaren and Racing Point, now Aston Martin, over third position in the constructors' standings.

Despite standing on the podium three times across the year, Ricciardo twice finishing third and Ocon second in the Sakhir Grand Prix, Renault lost out to both its rivals and ended the year fifth.
