Latest Williams departure as CEO O'Driscoll to retire
Williams CEO Mike O'Driscoll is to become the latest high-profile departure from the Formula 1 team as he has decided to retire
The move follows the recent acquisition of Williams by US-based investment firm Dorilton Capital, under the stewardship of chairman Matthew Savage, which has led to the family's decision to leave F1 after 43 years.
Sir Frank and daughter Claire, as deputy team principal, oversaw their final race in charge with Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.
Now O'Driscoll, who has been with Williams since 2011, initially as non-executive director before then becoming CEO two years later, has also decided the time is right to call it a day.
The 64-year-old, who will support the transition of ownership through this year, said: "It has been and remains a huge privilege to be part of this great team.
"I am proud to have played my part in securing the long-term future of Williams and look forward to working closely with Matthew and his team, to ensure a smooth transition and the best possible trajectory for the team’s future success.”
Paying tribute to O'Driscoll, Savage said: "Mike has made a huge contribution as CEO, working alongside the Williams family since the IPO in 2011.
"He has steered the corporate side of the group admirably through challenging times and has been invaluable in preparing Williams for the next exciting phase."
