Nothing will change 'as long as we are just marketing' says Floersch
Is there a correct way to search for female driving talent?
German driver Sophia Floersch has been angered by Ferrari specifically targeting adding female drivers to their ranks, labeling the move as being more of a PR stunt than a genuine ambition.
The question that will not go away is this; how do Formula One teams search for the next female talent without it appearing to be sexist or a PR stunt?
In the opinion of Floersch, who raced in the Formula Regional European championship in 2019, the direct approach of Ferrari is far from the correct answer to this question.
"What a discussion," wrote Floersch. "Is this the spirit of modern people? As long as we are just marketing stuff in racing nothing will change. We have to show that we are equal. Proof of concept. Like Michele Mouton."

Floersch, herself publicly being against the all female driver W Series, is travelling the more conventional route trodden by drivers of both genders by working through the existing Formula championships.
