Rossi a fan of Norris, plans helmet swap
Rossi a fan of Norris, plans helmet swap
MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi says he is a fan of Lando Norris, although it remains to be seen if his fandom is as strong as the McLaren driver's towards him.
Rossi and Norris met at MotoGP's British GP earlier this year and the 19-year-old was spotted wearing Rossi merchandise at the Italian GP.
Norris also used a specially designed helmet for Monza which aped patterns worn previously by Rossi, as well as his distinctive 'The Doctor' lettering.
Norris is not the only Rossi fan on the grid, with Alexander Albon choosing the number 23 to race with in F1, as it was half of the 46 that has been synonymous with Rossi through his career.
Seven-time premier-class world champion Rossi said it was an honour to be considered a hero of modern-day racers, and also spoke of a special plan to reconvene with Norris in the future.
