Red Bull's new relationship with Honda was a major talking point ahead of the 2019 Formula 1 season, however it appears that the relationship has begun on harmonious terms, with drivers Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly happy with their spoils from the Japanese marque.

Verstappen scored a podium in Red Bull's first race with Honda at the Australian Grand Prix, surpassing the manufacturer's best result since returning to F1 in 2015 with McLaren.

That previous best was a fourth-place scored by Gasly with Toro Rosso in Bahrain last year, with Verstappen backing up that performance with a matching result in Sakhir this year.

Gasly has struggled to adapt to life at Red Bull, although both driver and team have confirmed that these issues mainly are founded in the RB15's differences to its Toro Rosso cousin.

The Frenchman scored points in Bahrain last time out and will hope to get in the mix in China this weekend.

Verstappen heads to Shanghai looking to continue his form and perhaps make amends for last year's race, where he missed out on a potential victory after colliding with Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

Raw speed will be key on a Shanghai track featuring the second-longest straight on the F1 calendar, so Mobil 1 The Grid caught up with Verstappen and Gasly to get their views on the power unit's performance so far.
