Two F1 stars have been hit with huge penalties at the Dutch Grand Prix after an infringement following Max Verstappen's huge crash in Zandvoort.

The incident occurred at the end of the first racing lap, with a greasy track catching the four-time world champion out as he rounded the banked corner.

As a result of the damp patch, Verstappen lost control of his car, spinning into the wall and taking a huge hit in the process. Thankfully, he was unharmed and left the car under his own power, but the incident brought out yellow flags and subsequently, red.

Lindblad and Colapinto penalised at the Dutch Grand Prix

However, during the red flag, it emerged that Franco Colapinto, Arvid Lindblad and Esteban Ocon were all under investigation by the race stewards for alleged yellow flag infringements in the aftermath of Verstappen's race-ending moment.

Ocon was later cleared of any wrongdoing, but the same could not be said for Lindblad and Colapinto.

The Racing Bulls and Alpine drivers were both hit with a big punishment on lap eight of the season, with the race stewards handing them drive-through penalties.
