Hamilton vows to 'come back fighting' in 2020 season
Lewis Hamilton is in no mood to slow down as he goes on the hunt to level with Michael Schumacher on seven-world titles. In 2019, Hamilton took his fifth title in six years - can Red Bull or Ferrari provide a serious challenger in 2020?
Love him or loath him, Hamilton is one of the greatest F1 drivers in the history of the sport. Most wins in a debut season, most wins from pole, the only driver in history to win in every season in which he has driven...and those are just the win records.
At least one pole each year he has raced, the all-time pole record holder, most races led, most consecutive points finishes. The list of his records just goes on and on, but Hamilton is as hungry as aver for success.
In an Instagram post, Hamilton said: "2019 is a year I will never forget. I can’t describe how it felt to win a 6th world title. I feel your love #TeamLH from all over the world and I want to end the year by saying a massive thank you for your support. Now let’s celebrate the end of 2019 and come back fighting for 2020."

In recent years, Ferrari have looked to have had the stronger car for large portions of the year, but operational errors teamed with drivers errors, chiefly from Sebastian Vettel, have prevented a sustained title threat from emerging.
Red Bull have slowly crept back towards the front of the order and, with regulations remaining stable from 2019 to 2020, Max Verstappen will be among the favourites to topple Hamilton and Mercedes.
Along with the title, Hamilton will be aiming to add at least eight wins to his current total of 84. This would see him surpass Schumacher's 91 and on recent form, it's difficult to imagine him missing this target.
