F1 calendar 2020: Races confirmed as it stands

The dates and locations for every race in the 2020 Formula 1 calendar have been confirmed.

Before the season had begun, an outbreak of coronavirus in China saw the race scheduled to be the fourth race of the season postponed.

Formula 1 landed in Australia with the intention of completing the season opening grand prix, but when McLaren reported that a team member had tested positive for COVID-19, the weekend was put in doubt.

On Friday morning, roughly 90-minutes ahead of first practice, the grand prix weekend was officially cancelled.

Over the next two weeks, further postponements were announced. Races in Bahrain, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Spain and Azerbaijan were postponed while the Monaco Grand Prix was outright cancelled for 2020.

The Canadian Grand Prix on June 14 is now scheduled to be the season opener with officials declaring that they will make a decision on postponing the race before Easter (April 12).

On Monday April 27, French Grand Prix officials announced that the race was would not be run in 2020. Instead, focus has already been shifted to the 2021 event.

Liberty Media have warned that the final calendar may look very different to the original release.
