Lewis Hamilton had a hairy moment early in the second practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix, sliding into the wall at Turn 9 of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and causing a puncture at the very least for his Mercedes car.
Hamilton took to the radio to tell the team: "Sorry about that."
Mercedes opted to change the entire rear end of Hamilton's car, ending his session very prematurely.
Hamilton should avoid a penalty for a change of gearbox, as the race-spec one will not have been fitted for Friday practice.
