Lewis Hamilton's tight and tense battle with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc's home-race misery made this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix one to remember. With plenty of flash-points to look at, here are the best images from the race's stand-out moments.

Hamilton clung on to take victory in Monte Carlo, with Verstappen piling pressure on as he tried to make up for a time penalty.

Leclerc was qualified out of sequence and then crashed as he tried to make up for it, damaging his Ferrari trying to pass Nico Hulkenberg at La Rascasse.

Red Bull tried to jump Valtteri Bottas in the pits.

But the Mercedes man hit the wall and Verstappen was punished.

Verstappen made a bold lunge on Hamilton at the Nouvelle Chicane.

Verstappen made contact with Hamilton in the process.

Hamilton was lucky not to suffer a puncture and went on to win.

Stewards investigated the incident but took no action.
