Jenson Button is going to be a father!

Jenson Button has confirmed that he and his fiancée Brittny Ward are expecting their first child together. Button's first child, a son, will join us later in the summer after the 2009 Formula 1 world champion broke the news on social media.

Button and model Ward are due to be wed, having confirmed their engagement last year, with the American adding to an Instagram post: "Baby couldn't wait for the wedding, he's decided to make an early appearance."

The pair have been a couple since early 2016 and the news adds to an already packed schedule for the 38-year-old.

Button recently confirmed he will return to defend his Super GT title in Japan this year, with an appearance at the Le Mans 24 Hours for SMP Racing also slated for June, but it remains to be seen if the impending arrival will impact that schedule.

The former McLaren man will also form part of Sky Sports' broadcast team in 2019, which is beamed in many countries across the world.
