FIA president Jean Todt has conceded to "no clear visibility" as to the future in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Todt has delivered a personal message via his Twitter account in the wake of motorsport, along with every other sport around the world, being hit hard by Covid-19.

At present, there is no known date as to when the situation will alter, with guesswork simply being applied over potential calendars, in particular, that surrounding Formula 1.

Todt said: "Dear friends, as the world is going through a historic pandemic, I want to tell you how close I am to all of you.

"As you are aware, the situation is critical and constantly evolving. Protecting people has to be the priority.

"I would like to express my support and solidarity to all citizens, and to those who contribute to motorsport and mobility.

"As you know, we had to cancel or postpone events scheduled within the next weeks, and at this stage, we have no clear visibility on when our lives will be back to normal.

"It is our shared responsibility to take all the necessary measures, and I urge you to strictly comply with the WHO's safety instructions and the ones of your national governments.

"Only our individual discipline will allow us to overcome this virus. Together we will do it."
