Lewis Hamilton signed off qualifying duties for 2019 with his 88th career pole position at the Abu Dhabi GP.
Formula 1's greatest qualifier of all time, Hamilton has not had it all his own way on Saturdays this year and this was just his fifth pole of the year.
He took it in dominant fashion, though, going three tenths quicker than nearest rival Max Verstappen, who was third-fastest behind Valtteri Bottas - the Finn coming into the weekend knowing he would start last.
