Kubica weighing up new offers for 2020
Where will he go?
Robert Kubica says an announcement on his 2020 plans has been pushed back by new opportunities arising.
Kubica confirmed at the Singapore GP that he will leave Williams at the end of 2019, having endured a season of struggle on his return to F1 after eight years absent recovering from the serious injuries he sustained in a rally crash.
Haas have confirmed an interest in hiring Kubica as a development driver, while Racing Point have been linked to a similar offer, but the Pole says he wants to be racing next year, alongside any simulator role in F1.
And Kubica says he has several offers to consider, something he takes as a confidence-booster after such a difficult racing year.
"There are some new opportunities, or different opportunities," Kubica said.
"We'll have to see if we can make it work. If this happens I can have a good and relaxed December, but until [then], there is no final decision and [I] have to look realistically.
"Until there is no signature on the papers it's better to be realistic.
"It's maybe more complicated than I would like but if it's more complicated it means there are some good opportunities.
"It would be more of a problem if things were easy as it would mean nothing is happening, so we'll have to wait a bit.
"Although this season is very disappointing, and we haven't done a big progress during the year, people still know a value which I can give.
"Definitely I think this is a positive thing. Still some people believe I can do a good job and this is something very positive to see, especially after such a disappointing year this year."
