Floersch set to go racing again in 2019
The competition she had entered this year folded last week.
Sophia Floersch has secured a racing return for 2019 once again after her entry into the Formula European Masters (FEM) was curtailed by the series folding. The German will stick with Van Amersfoort Racing with an entry into this year's Formula Regional European Championship.
Floersch was thrust into the public spotlight after her involvement in a huge crash at the Macau Grand Prix, which left her with spinal fractures.

She has recovered sufficiently since that incident in November to resume racing this year and had opted for the series set to replace the European Formula 3 championship, having raced in its predecessor in 2018.
However, a lack on entrants led to FEM folding last week.
Instead, she will compete in the FR European Championships, an eight-round competition which is held across Europe.
The first race takes place at Paul Ricard on April 14, giving Floersch and Van Amersfoort little time to prepare the Tatuus F3 car run in the series, which has already been tested by their rivals.
Rob Niessink, CEO at Van Amersfoort Racing said: "By entering the series only three weeks ahead of the first official race, we surely have to make up ground and start testing with Sophia immediately.
"The team is fully committed to get both themselves and Sophia up to speed in this new race category.
"With the team's enthusiasm and Sophia's incredible drive to compete again, I am certain we'll do well!"
Already confirmed in the FR European Championship line-up this year is Ferrari junior driver Enzo Fittipaldi, who will race for Prema Powerteam, and David Schumacher, son of former F1 driver Ralf.
