'Ugly' halo could be unsafe in Eau Rouge - Magnussen
Kevin Magnussen has been one of the more vocal critics of the halo's introduction into Formula 1 and the Haas driver has pinpointed Spa's famous Eau Rouge corner as a location where the safety device could end up putting drivers in harm due to reduced visibility.
The first pre-season test in Barcelona saw all cars fitted with the halo, with drivers up and down the grid regularly asked about their experiences.
Some have reported no problems, while some unexpected issues cropped up - Carlos Sainz Jr said he could not tell when it was raining on day two in Barcelona as his visor was shielded.
Magnussen says the halo has had little impact on standard corners, but suggests chicanes, such as the famed left-right uphill corner in Belgium, could be another matter.
"It's very annoying. Ugly. Difficult to get into the car, difficult to get out of the car, difficult to get the steering wheel on and off, just awkward and annoying," he said.

"Once you get into the corner it's fine because you look to the sides and left and right of the pillar in the middle so it's not a problem visually to see the corner.
"But it distracts your eye obviously when you change direction like chicanes and you have to move your vision across the pillar.
"It's a little bit distracting but it isn't any concern as such.
"If you're chasing someone in Eau Rouge you won't be able to see if he makes a mistake at the top and spins if you're down the middle part. You won't know if he's in the wall or not.
"I guess the same at Austin turn one where there's big elevation, but we'll see."
