Ferrari admit to Australian Grand Prix concerns
Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto wants to know what Liberty Media have planned in the result that his team are denied entry to Australia for fear of a spread of the coronavirus.
Speaking at his post-testing press conference, Binotto explained that the current situation in Italy has made things difficult for his team.
“Getting to the test has been difficult. Some of our engineers who would go to those tests have stayed at home instead," said Binotto. "I think we should have certainty before we leave.
"I don't think we can know for sure until we are in Australia. So if there are medical screenings, we need to know. You must know exactly what is going on.
"We need to understand what the consequences are in the event of a problem."
AlphaTauri boss Franz Tost has also voiced his own concerns about his team being able to get to Australia. Also based in Italy, AlphaTauri could also find it difficult to be granted entry, and other teams have been forced to change their travel plans with certain routes being blocked from entry to the country.

"Of course we have to protect our employees," continued Binotto. “We have a collective and individual responsibility towards them. It is important to ensure that before we leave we have a clear picture of the entire situation."
