VIDEO: How Silverstone has changed through F1's lifetime
We will have to get used to Formula 1 cars returning to Silverstone after a five-year deal was confirmed this week to save the British Grand Prix.
Silverstone hosted the very first race of the World Championship in 1950 and remains a yearly staple of F1's travelling circus in the year that race 1000 was reached.
Formula 1 is, of course, hugely different to then in almost every respect - and that's no different to Silverstone.
