French Grand Prix: Starting grid with penalties applied

Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the second straight year at the French Grand Prix, and his 86th overall as he led Valtteri Bottas in a Mercedes-dominated qualifying in Le Castellet.

Hamilton turned it on in Q3 to beat Bottas by three tenths, securing a record-breaking 63rd front-two lockout for Mercedes.

Sebastian Vettel had a disappointing day and will start seventh, behind both McLarens, with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz performing brilliantly.

Grid penalties are to be applied for the race, with Daniil Kvyat and George Russell affected - check out how they will get away below.
