Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says Niki Lauda's signature and the red star in tribute to the Austrian will remain part of the Silver Arrows livery, but their red halo will revert to its previous colour next time out in Canada.
Teams up and down the grid paid tribute to Lauda at the Monaco Grand Prix, which came in the week in which the Austrian died aged 70.
Both Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel wore helmets sporting Lauda's classic red design, while Mercedes also changed their halo the same colour to reflect the cap Lauda famously wore.
