Lights Out: Hamilton and Rosberg arguing - is it 2014?

Biting your fingernails, eating fast food, elbows on the dinner table - some habits are hard to kick. Just ask Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, who just cannot, for the life of them, break out of the cycle of slagging each other off. It's lights out for Friday morning!

MUST READ

Yes, that's right. Your favourite headlines from 2014, 2015 or even 2016 were back again on Thursday as Hamilton had harsh words for Rosberg following the German's claim that his old Mercedes team-mate is a shade on the inconsistent side.

Hamilton was speaking at our first press conference of the season and there was another dig for Rosberg as he and Sebastian Vettel discussed taking each other on in their respective attempts for a fifth world title in 2018.

Daniel Ricciardo made up the third part of a heavyweight trio. Hamilton and Vettel kindly offered him some advice on his future - could it be in red uniform?

The smiley Australian is apparently a target for Mercedes and Ferrari. Red Bull's head honcho says he won't stand in the way of Ricciardo wants a fresh challenge.

A lot could depend on Red Bull's success this year. They're expected to impress in Australia, but don't expect them to be the best in a straight line just yet, that's what Max Verstappen says, anyway.

That Renault engine might not thrill Red Bull, but McLaren, and Fernando Alonso, seem happy enough with it - the only way is up for the Spaniard.

And is it just me that is surprised it's taken THIS long for Bernie Ecclestone to have his say on the Ferrari in-out stuff? No? Good.
