We are less than one week away from the opening Grand Prix of the season in Melbourne and Lewis Hamilton appears to be just as excited as the rest of us, while Daniel Ricciardo reckons the minimum requirement for Red Bull this season is to mount a championship challenge. It's lights out for Monday morning!

Even though the current world champion is on the brink of signing a new contract with Mercedes, his boss Toto Wolff has admitted that his star man could be tempted by a move to Ferrari in the future.

More Hamilton chat this time courtesy of David Coulthard, who thinks that Mercedes and the Brit will continue to dominate in 2018 in a similar way to McLaren's dominance in the 80s or Williams in the 90s.

The pressure is on for Red Bull this season, as Daniel Ricciardo believes the very minimum requirement from Red Bull this campaign is to challenge Mercedes and Ferrari for the championship and not just grand prix victories.

Esteban Ocon is hoping to impress at Force India again this season so he can take advantage of any "opportunities" that arise with Mercedes, with whom he is a member of the driver development programme.
