Vettel and Bottas to face-off in ROC F1 duel
Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas will face off on Sunday after being drawn together in the round of 16 for this year's Race of Champions.
Four-time F1 champion Vettel will have the chance to take on new Alfa Romeo leader Bottas ahead of the coming season during the traditional gathering of motorsport stars which this year takes place on a frozen Swedish lake for the first time.
Mick Schumacher will have to fight for his place in the round of 16 by facing off against W Series champion Jamie Chadwick in a preliminary round.
American IndyCar driver Colton Herta takes on four-time Indy 500 and recent Daytona 24-Hour winner Helio Castroneves in the other qualifying race.
Elsewhere in the draw, two-time F1 champion Mika Hakkinen faces Nascar legend Jimmie Johnson, while Hakkinen's former McLaren team-mate David Coulthard races against 'Mr Le Mans' Tom Kristensen.
Rally maestros Sebastian Loeb and Petter Solberg will duel, as will World Rallycross rivals Johann Kristoffersson and Timmy Hansen.
Reigning champion Benito Guerra will take on Solberg's son, Oliver, in his head-to-head.
In Saturday's ROC Nations Cup, Vettel and Schumacher form Team Germany and in round one go up against the ROC All-stars, to be made up of the eROC winners in a competition that takes place on Thursday.
Bottas and Hakkinen make up Team Finland and face Team Great Britain in the quarter-finals, with Coulthard and Chadwick behind the wheel, one of six teams to have received a bye.
Kristoffersson and Kristensen team up for reigning champions Team Nordic, who will race against Loeb and Didier Auriol for Team France.
