A fourth constructors' title in a row helped Mercedes beat competition from Champions League winners Real Madrid as well as NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, and the Super Bowl history-making New England Patriots to the Laureus Award for Team of the Year.

They stormed to yet another team title in 2017, 146 points clear of Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton also ensured a fourth straight drivers' title - his third with the team.

Hamilton was nominated for Sportsman of the Year, but the honour went to tennis legend Roger Federer.
