The 2021 Formula 1 season will begin in Bahrain this coming weekend with Lewis Hamilton beginning his quest to win a record-breaking eighth world championship title.
Hamilton enters the new season tied with Michael Schumacher on seven world championship titles but success this year would place the Briton on a pedestal of his own.
However, Mercedes appeared to struggle in pre-season testing with the rear of the W12 looking particularly lively - Hamilton causing the red flags to fly on one occasion after beaching in the gravel.
As Mercedes toiled, Red Bull showed ominous pace. Max Verstappen ended the three-day test fastest of all with new team-mate Sergio Perez also getting to grips with the RB16B.
Heading into the opening race of the year, the midfield will also make for interesting viewing with McLaren and AlphaTauri the pick of the bunch in testing.
