AlphaTauri complete AT02 shakedown at Imola

AlphaTauri finished seventh in last year's standings

AlphaTauri has completed a shakedown of its new AT02 at Imola after spending two days lapping older machinery.

AlphaTauri became the second team to launch its 2021 Formula 1 car earlier the month, has the team has now followed Red Bull and McLaren in completing one of its filming days to shakedown the AT02.

Both Pierre Gasly and rookie driver Yuki Tsunoda completed running in an outdated car in recent days before sampling the new car.

Last year the team finished seventh in the constructors' standings and, through Gasly, took only the second victory in its history when the Frenchman made the most of a chaotic Italian Grand Prix to claim his maiden win.

AlphaTauri will next take to the track between March 12-14 when the 10 teams head to Bahrain to complete three days of pre-season testing before beginning the season at the same venue two weeks later.
