Michael Schumacher's daughter urges him to keep fighting' in social post

Michael Schumacher's daughter, Gina, has urged the seven-time world champion to 'keep fighting' in a rare show of public emotion from the family, who have been very protective of his situation following the severe head injuries he suffered in a tragic accident while skiing in December 2013.

The Schumacher family have been very protective of ensuring that no misinformation or conjecture is aired in the press as fans hope that the German can achieve a positive outcome from the situation which almost claimed the driver's life.

They have even successfully sued a series of newspaper that claimed that the 48-year-old was able to speak again and was undergoing a specific treatment program.

But in an instagram post Gina, 20, used the hashtag #keepfighting in reference to her father, a messaged she relayed in a series of languages.

Gina received an outpouring of support from Michael's legion of fans afterwards, offering the family positive thoughts and messages.
