Max Verstappen has revealed he watched team-mate Sergio Perez's Red Bull show run from his Mexico City hotel whilst lounging in his bathrobe.
At the Dutch Grand Prix, Verstappen was the centre of attention with countless media obligations and other engagements.
Now at the home race of Perez, it is the Mexican's turn to face a daunting schedule, with Verstappen afforded an opportunity to relax.
“It’s not too bad actually," said Verstappen when asked if this was the easiest build up to a race weekend.
"It was quite funny because on Wednesday, Checo was doing the show run and I was in my bathrobe watching him from my room doing doughnuts, so it’s alright.”
After taking victory in the United States GP last time out, Verstappen extended his points lead over title-rival Lewis Hamilton to 12.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a circuit that has always suited Red Bull, with Verstappen setting top-two pace in qualifying on each of the last three visits and scoring back-to-back wins in 2017 and 2018.
“I have good memories here," added the Dutch driver. "It is a really nice city.
"I also have a lot of fun so, of course, it was a shame we couldn’t come here last year but I’m very excited to be back here again and I’m in general looking forward to the weekend."
