Hubert tribute to feature over Belgian Grand Prix weekend
F2 will also retire the Frenchman's 19 plate
Formula 1 one will join support categories F2 and F3 in running specially designed decals to remember Anthoine Hubert one year after his fatal accident at Spa Francorchamps.
On 31 August 2019, Hubert was involved in a heavy, multi-car collision at Raidillon during the F2 feature race. Tragically, the crash cost the highly rated 22-year-old Frenchman his life.
The accident sent shock waves through the sport, and the paddock will join together to display it has not forgotten the events of one year ago by displaying AH19 on every car.
Close friend to Hubert, AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly, has said in the build-up to the weekend, "I think everyone in the paddock will take time to think of him."

The paddock will hold a minutes silence ahead of the Saturday feature race, an act that will be replicated by Formula 1 ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday.
In a further tribute, F2 has announced it will retire the number 19 plate that was run by Hubert in 2019.
Via a statement, F2 confirmed: "The F2 promoters would also like to announce that the number 19 will forever be Anthoine's in the championship. As such, it will no longer be available, with the racing numbers going from 16-17 to 20-21 in the entry list, as per this season."
