F1 Schedule: When is the next race and where it will be held?
Find out when and where the next F1 race will take place, as Red Bull's early season dominance took a hit in the third round of the 2024 season.
Fresh off surgery two weeks prior, Carlos Sainz secured a stunning victory, his third career win, at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The race witnessed a shocking turn of events, with championship leader Max Verstappen suffering a mechanical failure that forced him to retire, though Sainz had already overtaken him before the DNF.
Despite the setback, Red Bull remains on top of the constructors' standings with 97 points, but Ferrari is hot on their heels with 93 points. McLaren sit in third with 55 points, followed by Mercedes with 26 points and Aston Martin with 25 points.
While Verstappen maintains the lead with 51 points, Charles Leclerc is close behind with 47 points. Sergio Perez sits in third with 46 points, followed by a resurgent Sainz with 40 points and McLaren's rising star Oscar Piastri with 28 points to round out the top five.
The battle for the championship is far from over, with Ferrari showing they can challenge Red Bull's supremacy.
