Hartley 'positive' about Abu Dhabi despite final race rumours
Brendon Hartley insists he is remaining "positive" about the last Grand Prix race of the season in Abu Dhabi this weekend at the Yas Marina circuit, despite rumours he is likely to be replaced by Toro Rosso at the end of what has been a disappointing campaign.
The New Zealander is 19th in the driver rankings, having picked up just four points, with only rookie Williams driver Sergey Sirotkin in behind in 20th.
Pierre Gasly is set to depart Toro Rosso after being promoted to Red Bull, with Daniil Kvyat having already been announced as his replacement.
The team has reportedly been courting drivers to replace Hartley, too, but he has assured he is only focused on the race on Sunday/
"It’s the last race of the season and I’m approaching it in a positive frame of mind," he told Formula1.com.

"I have had a strong end to the season, performing well in the last few races, even when the car wasn’t quick enough to score big points.
"I’m happy with my relative performance and my improvement throughout the season. So I’m looking forward to having a good weekend and finishing the year on a high."
Hartley went on to compare the Yas Marina circuit to a street race due to its unique set-up, but admitted that overtaking could be difficult.
"Abu Dhabi is an interesting track, with a street circuit feel to it, especially in the final part, where the track goes under the hotel," he continued.
"It’s very flat with not a lot of camber or undulation and overtaking can be tricky."
