Ferrari F1-75 - has image of Scuderia's "very, very slim" new car been leaked?
Ferrari may not have launched its 2022 challenger but it seems as though the F1-75 has been leaked ahead of its formal unveiling.
A picture of what is believed to be the new car, which the Scuderia will hope takes either Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz to the top step of the podium for the first Ferrari win since 2019, has been aired [see bottom of the article].
A private pre-show was held at Maranello on Wednesday for friends and close members of Ferrari ahead of the launch on Thursday, February 17.
Speaking on Canal+, former Ferrari race winner Jean Alesi revealed he had attended the event and had seen the car, describing it as "very, very thin".
Alesi added: "Formula 1 is changing almost 100% of its technical regulations, so the cars are going to be quite impressive.
"I saw the Ferrari earlier. It is a real marvel, very, very slim, with a bit of a sophisticated nose.
"The car is already impressive and I hope it will go as fast to join the two teams we had [out front] last year in Mercedes and Red Bull."
Asked whether he felt Ferrari would be ahead this year, Alesi replied: "Honestly, you will see the car tomorrow. It will be presented tomorrow. It's a little jewel!
"And it's a pity, I was just seeing [on a TV screen] the Red Bull, which is a demonstration car, the FOM model. It's nothing exceptional.
"When we get to see the Ferrari, it will be a shock! [laughing]"
Following the unveiling, the car will take to the track for the first time in pre-season testing at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya from February 23.
