Correa moved to new hospital as recovery from Hubert crash continues

Matthew Scott

Juan Manuel Correa is to be moved to an intensive care unit in the United Kingdom to continue his recovery from the injuries sustained in the crash that killed Anthoine Hubert.

Correa suffered leg fractures and a spinal injury after hitting Hubert's car at high speed in Formula 2's feature race in Belgium.

The Sauber junior driver's condition has been described as stable throughout his treatment in Liege CHU.

“He will continue his recovery process in the care of a specialist team of physicians,” a statement read.

Correa's parents have been at his bedside, while the American driver was informed of Hubert's passing while in hospital in Belgium.
